About Great Lakes Dock Works

What We Do

Great Lakes Dock Works provides dock and boat lift services to lakefront homeowners across Michigan. We work on residential properties from Traverse City and Petoskey in the north to Lake St. Clair in the southeast — every lake community we serve has its own set of conditions, and we account for those differences in every job we take.

Michigan lakes are not uniform. A dock on Grand Traverse Bay faces open-water wave fetch and sand migration. A dock on Torch Lake sits over a hard limestone bottom at depth. A lift on Lake St. Clair needs to handle Great Lakes-grade boat traffic and wakes. We've worked on all of them.

We do not use a one-size-fits-all approach. Assessment comes before recommendation, and recommendation comes before any work begins.
